Just wondering what new worship songs from this year (i.e. 2012) have caught your imagination? Is there a particular worship song that was new to you recently, but now seems like you've known it for ages? These songs are often the ones that are congregational and easy to pick up.

Looking forward to seeing which new 2012 worship songs are popular amongst our members!

my favorite right now is "Sit Enthroned" by school of worship. I hadn't heard of them before this song but they have some great stuff!

Jesus Culture...their awakening album just come out.  Awesome indeed!

Always by Kristian Stanfill.

Not sure these are brand new, but great congregational songs:

Lord I Need You - Chris Tomlin , Kristian Stanfill , Matt Maher.

Here for You - Matt Redman.

The Same Love - Paul Baloche

10,000 Reasons By Matt Redmond

" Always " by khristian Standfill.... i love singing this song again and again...this song encourage me to be confident in every situation.

Just finished vocal practice for "Running" by Hillsong and "Live Like That" by Sidewalk Prophets.

Great lyrics, message, and music!

Your Great Name - Natalie Grant and Jesus Culture's Holy and I Love Your Presence

10,000 reasons just works so well

Also done a really synthed up version of We Are The Free also from Matt Redmans album 10,000 reasons.

One of the reasons I like that album is that has moved away a little from the full rock style arrangements and actually leans heavily on simple piano arrangements. Beautiful me thinks

I'm going to suggest another band and several of their songs.  The Royal Royal are Nathan and Gabe Finochio, 2 PKs with a really fresh new angle.  My keyboard player has flipped over them, and understandably so, as they tend to release both a stripped-down acoustic version and his favorite big 80's inflected album versions.  We've done "Praise Him" in church already.  It's very anthemic and energetic, so much so that Hillsong picked it up for their last album.  My present favorites are "Draw Near", "How Wonderful" and "My Hope".  Their album is $8.99 right now and I've got it on heavy rotation.

I got several lead sheets & chord sheets from PraiseCharts as well as Paradigm.

Thanks for the heads up on The Royal Royal. They certainly sound fresh. Excellent

Having checked out The Royal Royal following your most excellent recommendation I found on soundcloud their music along with a load of other similar artists. Seems the are part of a collective called The Paradigm Collective.

Here's the link to their soundcloud page http://soundcloud.com/theparadigmcollective
