Hey All-
I feel compelled to share the awesomeness that it Planning Center Online. I have used this website in two different churches and it is AMAZING! I highly recommend it to anyone who is in church ministry.

For those who do not know what I am talking about, PCO is a web-based service planning program that allows you to plan, schedule, distribute materials, and run services all from one place! No, I am not a rep, I just get excited when I talk about it because it is SO SWEET! Check it out and let me know what you think.

Those who have used it, What do you think, and what cool things were you able to do with it?

I use it. But I'm not paying $15 or more a month to use it. My church is about 50-60 people and it's not worth spending money for all the bells and whistles right now. However I think it's the best one out there. Better than FQ Worship or Worship Planning.

On the other hand, it's still a new product and they have a lot of things to work on to make it better. One thing I'd like is to be able to export my song list to something like excel so I can give it to visiting WLs when the fill in. I just spent an hour fixing a song list because I can't export it.

But it has made my planning a lot simpler.
Thanks for your enthusiasm about PCO Jim! We here at Ministry Centered Technologies really appreciate the support and that you are encouraging others to check it out.

In reply to Kevin, many of our account admins give guest worship leaders a temp account to PCO. This gives the guest the ability to get the set list, notes, and anything else that is pertinent to to the weekend services that is loaded into Planning Center. Then after they are done serving at your church you can just cancel their account.
I usually let them choose the songs. Can they see the song list if I did that? Would be really cool if they could. Thanks for letting me know that!
Kevin...they would be able to see the song list in that scenario.
We love PCO here at CBCFC. It's a great tool for scheduling, service plan layout, uploading media to be used in our services and for praise team access of chord charts, mp3's and/or streaming of songs for each service. It is easy to see when you last used a song and is easy to follow the flow of song keys being used for a particular service. We also really like the ability to load multiple arrangements for each song. If you have someone who knows HTML, the reports are pretty easy to customize as well. :)
Yea, I'm going to learn some HTML soon just so I can use that feature. I am not employed by my church yet, but a PCO subscription is one of the first things I am going to do.
