I am a bass player "by trade" who just recently moved over to the lead guitar position on our worship team. I must say, I am having an absolute BLAST! As for my gear....At the moment I play a G&L Legacy thru a Fender Frontman 212 R. For effects I use a Digitech RP350. I actualy started out on acoustic guitar. I still play from time to time (When the situation calls for it.) but I'm having to much fun right now rockin' for Jesus! 3 chords and an attitude! lol

I, like Steve, have always been more of an acoustic player. But in the last couple of years have started playing electric as well (mostly due to not having a consistent electric player in our church).

I bought a Gretsch Nashville (well, it's a Brian Setzer signature model, 6120 SSLVO, which is basically a reconfigured Nashville with 'hotroded' pickups).

I love this guitar, (not like I love my wife, of course, but definitely more than I love tacos!). By the way, I eventually changed out the dice volume knobs. A little too Rock and Roll lifestyle for worship... Though, I did notice people danced quite a bit more when the dice were still there :)

mmmm...electric guitar.

Do you know anyone that has a Carvin Contour 66?

I just bought one, and was told it was "Custom Built ony" guitar....know anything about that?

I've been playing since I was 15. My first axe was a Krammer 600-ST... though it's sad that it'sno longer in production. I also started switching in between Acoustic and Electric some time during service in my previous church but found that it's still the electric that I've fell in love wiht. My current gears are the Fender Strat (1979 & 1984 - Japan models). Tones and feel are absolutely great. Though there were many offers but it's definitely not for sale as it's got too much great feel that I've grown to love along the way. As for gadgets, I used to be on analog but was too lazy therefore got a Zoom GFX-8 for a while (4 years I think). Now I am on Boss GT-8 with a Wah Classic as a Loop and also a Boss FS-5U for added gain for service. May be thinking of switching back to the good ol' analog but somehow haven't got to it cos they just dun make gadgets like before... :)
