Some of you may know that I have been in a 2 yr dry spell from writing any songs. I haven't written anything since before my brain popped and I needed surgery to stop the bleeding.

I have had many people tell me that I would write many songs from this experience etc... and nothing has come out of me at all. I even lost my voice for a period of time, due to nodules on my vocal chords from the surgery. So that's where I've been.

Recently I have recieved prayer from a couple of different… Continue

Gratitude and worship

As I was preparing for this Sunday's worship, I was led to something that I found very interesting but never really thought about before and that is how important having an attitude of gratitude is for genuine worship to take place. I used to think is was mostly about coming into His presences with great expectancy but I realized that in order for anyone to come with that level of expectancy, they need to 1 be grateful. It is all over Scripture especially in Chronicles. There are at least 9… Continue

A Bug's Life - February 24, 2009

Cricket was always fretting.

"Everyone is listening," she chirped. "Every note must be

Cricket had a gift for reaching others with her music. She could change her

tune to suit her listener. She could perk you up with a bouncy melody, liven

your step with a reel or jig or calm you with a hymn or ballad. That

responsibility had begun to weigh cricket's heart. Her tone became shrill.

"Can't… Continue

I have been in a funk for the last few weeks and I am not sure why but I figure if I write about it something may come to mind to help me out of it. I think I am feeling low because I am not sure if I am fulfilling God's plan for my life. I don't know what that plan is and I feel like I am running out of time to figure it out! I have had an amazing life. I have done so many things that few ever get to do so I shouldn't be complaining but I still feel that I've missed out on something. I am so… Continue

Thru the Painted Desert

Posted on February 10, 2009 at 4:37pm 0 Comments

I just finished Donald Miller's book Through the Painted Desert and I want to highly recommend it. I also want to give Donald credit for my shout message "Stop long enough to engage the obvious" I think the Obvious is a metaphor for God.

This book really makes you look at the way you are living life and question if it is the way God wants us to be living. After reflection, my answer is I think not.

I have enjoyed all of MIller's books and wasn't disappointed with this one. It is very… Continue

The new song should load up when you go on my home page. Hey I just went to Walmart and stocked up. I bought 8 bottles of Creme Brule' creamer. If you like Haselnut, you really love Creme Brule'. I'm not taking any chances of running out. lol

Bizzy, thank for the response. I've noticed it is customary at most sites for folks to listen to and review several songs for each one they upload, which is a good policy. And there are a ton of songs to listen to, so that probably explains it as you suggested... I just knew that I'd listened to quite a few but wasn't getting much feedback, so I think I 'll refrain from adding yet more songs to the pile for now. There are plenty of other great features on WTR to participate in!
