Bob Stanhope, a prolific songwriter, has performed as a singer-songwriter in many different settings. Recently he has been a featured performer at The Bushnell Pavilion in Hartford, Wintonbury Coffeehouse in Bloomfield CT, First Night Danbury, The Danbury City Center Summer Concert Series, and years ago even had the chance to record with Les Paul in his studio in NJ. Bob's known to offer an eclectic assortment of songs with a possible helping in the humorous / satirical vein. He is a thirteen-time winner in the Billboard Magazine Songwriting Contest and 25% of the rock band Cross Purpose. Cross Purpose is a favorite at The Upper Room in RI and The Mill in MA. They performed at JesusFest in CT this summer and will be at The Howland Cultural Center in Beacon NY this fall. He has a background in community theater that includes lead roles in "1776", "Born Yesterday", "Sugar", and "Mr. Roberts" and has self-published seven detective novels. Bob was the morning “guy” at several local radio stations during the 80s and 90s.
