Hi Carrie, I was just reading our comments on the 'what you don't like about worship music' thread re Sovereign Grace Music, and totally agreed, their stuff is a cut above most worship songs in terms of its lyrical and doctrinal content. I'm a worship pastor in London, UK, and also part of a songwriting group called RESOUNDworship.org - we're trying to aim (similar to SGM) for contemporary songs that are rich in Biblical truth, and we're giving all our music away for free. I'd be grateful if you had a moment to look at www.RESOUNDworship.org and let me know what you think - there's over 50 songs on there with mp3s, backing tracks, chord/lead/piano charts, all for free download. Bob Kauflin actually recommended a few of our songs on his blog at worshipmatters.com recently in this post (recommending a Christmas song of mine) and this post (recommending a couple of songs by Joel Payne and Sam Hargreaves, two of the other writers in the group). Sorry for the long post, I hope you have chance to look at the site and that it is of interest to you. God bless, Matt

Hi Carrie. I've read a bunch of your posts about lyrical content and I thought I'd suggest a writer/artist: Robin Mark. You have probably heard of him. 'Days of Elijah,' 'Jesus, All for Jesus' etc... I like these songs, but many of his others have awesome content! If you don't aready own his cds/mp3s, I'll give you an album list to check out: Revival in Belfast, Revival II, Come Heal This Land, East of the River, Year of Grace,.. he also has 4 albums through "The Mandate" mens conferences in Europe, and other albums as well. Anyhoo, I think he is head and shoulders above Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Hillsong, etc, etc. Not that I don't like some of what they do, but Mark FAR exceeds them. God Bless...

Hi Steven,

Pastor Ron Hindt and my husband and I came out of Pacific Hills Church in Aliso Viejo, Calif. Danny Bond was our pastor. Ron and his wife Kym were good friends of ours in the early 80's then they moved to Texas to plant their church, CCH.
My husband is currently planting a new church (our second) Saving Grace Community Church, in South Orange Country, Calif. We are attending Calvary Chapel Mission Viejo in the process and we use their building for our Sunday night service (which is the beginnings of our church plant). I lead worship for my own worship team (which is only 3 of us so far) and in the bigger church we attend, I am one of many playing/singing under another worship leader. We were missionaries for 11 years in England where we planted a church there and have returned to our home town to start all over again, which has been difficult. This area we live in is glutted with churches. But a lot of them are not teaching the Word and worship has become a rock concert. So we see the need and feel the conviction to plant here inspite of all this. We live right across the street from the infamous Saddleback Church too. We are having to throw ourselves on God even more! If you are interested, we have a blog: http://billfoote.wordpress.com/
Also my husband is on sermon audio at: http://www.sermonaudio.com/search.asp?mediatype=PDF&SpeakerOnly=true&currSection=sermonsspeaker&keyword=Bill^Foote

How about you? How long have you been involved in worship ministry?
Blessings, Carri

Thanks, I will check those songs out! Calvary Chapel. Yes, I am familiar with that church. One of our sound techs and his family came to us from Calvary. Where are you guys ministering currently?

Hi Steven, So many people ask us that, and my husband's name is Bill! But the answer is no. My husband does play electric guitar but he's a pastor so he has pretty much put his guitar down. We don't have any relatives either by that name. Hey, do you know of Calvary Chapel Houston? I know and used to play in a worship team years ago with the pastor there, Ron Hindt. Just thought I'd ask.

Blessings to ya, Carri

Hi Carri,

Any chance that you're related to Billy James Foote? I lead worship in the Houston area. Just thought I'd ask...blessings!
