It turned out to be the Book of the Law. When it was read to Josiah and he realized that it contained the Lord’s commands—commands that had been broken by the people for so long—he “tore his robes” in grief (2 Kings 22:11).

Josiah knew that God’s anger burned against His people for breaking His Law. Josiah…

Read 2 Kings 11:1 through 13:25

Travis was less than enthusiastic about the yard work his parents had asked him to do. It would take up most of Saturday. That morning while his parents were away Travis decided to sleep in till noon. Afterward he decided to text message his friends and watch some TV. Before he knew it, the day was almost over. He sloppily mowed the yard, did a poor job of weeding, and tossed the flowers into the ground without watering them. When his parents…

Read 2 Kings 4:1 through 5:27

The widow’s cupboard held only a small amount of oil. Unable to pay her debts, the creditor demanded her sons become his slaves. Hopeless, she cried out for help (2Kings4:1). God performed a miracle through Elisha that saved the widow and her sons from the ravages of poverty.

Poverty is a stain on the fabric of every country. Single moms struggle to feed and clothe their children. The elderly choose between buying food and paying their utility… Continue

Anyone can steer the ship, but it takes a leader to chart the Course (Neh 1:1-3:32)

Leaders who navigate do even more than control the direction in which they and their people travel. They see the whole trip in their minds before they the dock. They have a vision for their destination, they understand who it takes to get there, they know who they need on the team to be successful, and they organize the obstacles long before they appear on the horizon. Sometimes its difficult balancing optimism and realism, intuitions and planning and faith and fact. But that’s what it takes… Continue

Read 1 Kings 19:1 through 20:43

Bill and Mona met when they were in an alcohol treatment center. While there, they received Jesus as their Savior. They fell in love, married, and began repairing years of damaged relationships. Mona eventually became a counselor, and Bill became a pastor. Then God burdened their hearts to go and share Jesus with the people of Poland. As they prepared to leave they looked forward to sharing the renewal and hope they had received from Jesus, but they… Continue

That is very bold of you! Like Joshua - strong and courageous!
We used the Easter Bunny and Santa to reach out to a lot of families and kids and two businesses in our mall (our church meets in a small mall).
Keep up the good work Daniel! The Bible says you will reap a great harvest.
