About Me:
I am the worship leader for St. John's Church, Yeadon, U.K. (http://www.stjohnsyeadon.org) - a smallish, but growing, church just north of Leeds, West Yorkshire. I've been writing worship songs, on and off, for about 13 years, when I get the time. This isn't so very often: I'm married, and a father of four young children! I also have a day-job - I am a lecturer in the maths department at the University of Leeds.

Daniel, let me encourage you to keep writing. I can tell your songs work in your church, they are very hymn like. 'Jesus Son of God' is a favorite.

You bet! It's a healthy discussion. I like to get to bottom of things no matter if someone agrees with me or not.

Hi Daniel,

Welcome to "I'm Refugee from He Must Increase.com".

Do you think we might be able to get Julia to come over to the other side as well?

I'm kind of a late-starter on the blogging thing (7 blog posts in total, and counting). But, partly inspired by a thread on here, I decided to write a few blog posts on Culture and Creativity, based on an Andy Crouch book I like.  The links with worship music are, so far, tangential rather than direct, but I hope some might see there is a link.  First two posts are here, I'm planning to add a couple more on the theme:…
