Yeah, not far from you at all. So tell me about your ministry. Do you lead worship?
Welcome to WTR! I know you'll love the fellowship and all that you can glean from the wonderful, gifted people on this site! Hope to get to know you! Blessings!
Thanks for putting in your Methodist point of view in our discussion on salvation. My family grew up in the United Methodist Church in our little town. It's a little too ritualistic and religious for me, but they got along with all the Southern Baptist churches that were on almost every corner. I can't tell you all of the hundreds of people I know who grew up in church but were never saved until they realized they were lost and needed a savior. When they finally asked Jesus to become the Lord of their life and entered into a personal relationship with him, their whole life was changed forever.
I hope that the Holy Spirit is moving in your church and that you are praising God in spirit and in truth and allowing him the liberty to lead in your worship and bible study.

hello Diana
Thank you for your daughter on her trip of Thailand . May God bless her trip and relaxation.
I sing, but I don't really play an instrument other than congas. I know chords on the piano, but have a hard time coordinating both hands at the same time. :) My goal is to take a few piano lessons this year so that I can actually lead from it if needed. I played flute through high school and pull it out a few times a year to see if I can still do a chromatic scale (not quite) or to play along on "In Christ Alone."
I have about 6 songs completely written and many more started or half done. Some are corporate worship songs, most are just life songs. I work at a nonprofit coffee shop, so I have a venue when I am ready for it. :) I would have to have someone accompany me on guitar for sure! I started to teach myself guitar several years ago, but decided I wasn't ready for the callouses, ultra short nails, and carpal tunnel. That sounds much more girly than I really am!!!!!! But anyway, props to you guitar players!!
I visited them once - are you near Charlotte or along the coast or?
Blessings, Rick
