Hello Gary,
Your comment on the worship idol discussion caught my attention and concern and I wanted to let you know that I'll be praying for you and your "Destiny of Worship."
You and I should connect, I believe we have similar musical tastes, backgrounds and experiences. I especially like your mention of Larry Norman.
I would encourage you to remain steadfast in your role as a lay worship leader/artist/singer/instrumentalist but would not limit your or restrict your "call". Consider your value in your lay position vs that of a "payed staffer".
I'm not saying there's anything wrong with being paid, I'm sure it can be wonderful. However, I have seen the liberties, freedoms and joy of serving evaporate due to the pressures and obligations that come with being paid to do what you were gladly doing for free.
If you want to talk more about it, I'm willing. More importantly, I wish you success and will pray that your efforts will be blessed.
I'm in Livermore. jasisco@comcast.net (925) 980-3093
Your servant in Jesus,
Jim
