About Me:
Alright, I'm not technically the worship pastor at my church. I lead the worship for our youth group every Sunday evening, and I play in our morning service praise band at electric guitar.

I'm wanting to become a full-time music pastor soon, and I'm trying to pick up all the experience I can. Music is where my heart is. I praise God and thank Him a hundred times for giving me my passion for music and for allowing me to use it in a way that honors and glorifies Him.

I'm hoping that people will not see me and that I won't try to be like some rock star or something. I'm just hoping that people can see the heart of God reflected through me and that as I lead in worship, they will be able to forget that they're in a public place and just let everything out before their Heavenly Father.

I really have a deep appreciation for good, solid acoustic rock music. I also really like piano ballads, electric rock (not heavy rock, but alternative, "happy rock"), and big orchestral/choral pieces. Normally I respect and appreciate most all styles if they are done very well.

I grew up in churches that sang from the hymnal, so I've always appreciated the traditional hymns and the black-and-white messages they convey. I like the fresher, modern music a little more just because I enjoy the energy and dynamic emoting that is delivered through it.

Obviously, worship isn't about feelings, but God designed music to pull on our heartstrings and to stir us in a heart of praise and worship. Music is, after all, a sensation, and God is a God of great sensation! Look at this world He's made just for us!
