Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Mandolin, Banjo, Djembe, and Trumpet
I was born and raised in California's Central Valley. Though raised Christian, I entered into a relationship with God on a missions trip to Ensenada, Mexico, the summer before my Junior year in High school. Later that year, my best friend taught me the guitar.
I graduated with a degree in business administration from Pepperdine University and married my wonderful wife shortly after graduation. My wife currently attends the law school and I work for the Chapel department and study part time at the school of public policy.
My wife and I have attended Calvary Chapel, Thousand Oaks (in Newbury Park) for about a year and I recently auditioned to be on the worship team-being asked to take over leadership of the worship team eventually.
God has seen fit to bless me with musical ability and I try to give that back to him by leading worship.
Favorite Bible Verses / Passages:
"When my heart was grieved
and my spirit embittered,
I was senseless and ignorant;
I was a brute beast before you.
Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.
Those who are far from you will perish;
you destroy all who are unfaithful to you.
But as for me, it is good to be near God.
I have made the Sovereign LORD my refuge;
I will tell of all your deeds."
