About Me:: Asked to play guitar for opening celebration service at church plant (Hope Community Church) in 1988. Asked to continue to play. Baptized 1991 with all family (wife & 3 children) || "Just the guitar player" for 17 yrs. Worship leader for last 3 yrs........52 yrs young this July. One 7 yr old grand-daughter, and one 3 month old grand-son. Work for "Smurfit. M.B.I." as a press operator since 1975. Ready for retirement:)! Have 6 or 7 guitars including Hagstrom/Larrivee/RainSong/Fender strat, and more. You can never have too many guitars:) Mostly love fingerstyle/open tuning/jazz...which isn't really in much demand in church circles. Teach guitar at home, and love to play.

Favorite Music:: Chris Tomlin/Tim Hughes/Brenton Brown/NewsBoys/Mark Shultz/Newsong/Third Day/Mercy Me/Lincoln Brewster/Avalon/Hillsong/Steve Bell/Paul Baloche/Jamie Jamgochian...etc,etc...

Favorite Bible Verses / Passages:: Psalm 98: 4-6: "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn - shout for joy before the Lord, the King."

At 8:45pm on January 24, 2009, Bizzy Bender said…: Yeah I lead worship a couple of times a month from my guitar, a Martin or I use a Variax line 6. I teach music to little children and use my Alvarez Yari for that. I too have a slight bit of GAS! Love that acronym!
My husband is a computer geek and collect that kind of stuff so if I ever feel GAS coming on, he generally lets me go for it!
So which is your favorite?

Nice guitars in your photos! are they all yours? did I see a Rainsong? I had one for a while but had some trouble with it on stage with constant feedback and some bumps on the neck so I returned it.

Khaki King is female - sort of the same thing that AC is talking about, though. Depending on the tune, lots of tapping and alternate tunings.
