Hey Linda! Thanks for the kind comments in November and January about my music demos. I haven't been on WTR for such a long time that I didn't see them. Feel free to join me on my Facebook page if you're so inclined: http://fb.me/tonysings
If you're ever in the area it would be great to worship jam. I'm always looking to work with others who serve our glorious God!
Thank you Linda, But please you do not have to apoligize to me I have agreed with all you have added and they were good comments. i discerned that of stevo right away and was just telling my wife that i have better communication on the Carvin Guitar forum than on here and that is a whole mixed buch of people from Christians to heavy metal etc. I think it a shame that Christians can't have better discussions without some arguing. The Word even says don't argue the Word. So you are fine and I thought the same thing about not posting anymore but I think that is what the enimy would want. we need the truth spoken and try to stay out of the arguing part. Like I said in my post, I am passionate for God's people to grow, hopefully others can look past some of his bad posts and get something good out of it all.
Thanks again and please do pray for us and our ministry and we will do the same for your's.
Dear Linda
You have no idea how important it is for me to hear your response. Thanks so much! Please could you add your comment on Music Lounge, below the blog, so others can read it. Because, many need encouragement to hear. After all, the pastors will not hear and will often not talk about such issues if one approaches them. I do not know where in Cape Town I can go to church, except maybe a Messianic church, where they would agree and the last Messianic one i was in, where I was an elder, kicked me out, because I dared to disagree when he publicly said we would one day likely do sacrifice in a new temple! I was holding to Jesus, the last sacrifice any of us need. May God help us all and lead us into all truth. Balance seems key. Today I was reading The Berean Blog, which I subsribe to and now I am busy with a musical blog, based on what I read. Actually I am just adding a song linked to their blog, which is very good. The scripture being blogged is also so pertinent to the church, which does not want to believe that God chastises. Another refusal to look at the truth of scripture:
1 Cor 11: 31-32
(31) For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. (32) But when
we are judged, we are chastened by the Lord, that we may not be
condemned with the world.
Thanks again. I so appreciate your comment. May you have an awesome new year!
God bless
Gerald
I know exactly what you mean... the nice thing about having a lot of musicians in church is so that you can enter into worship more without worrying that the music will keep going... when you have to do it all it sometimes feels like the music is all you can do... fortunately I get the young (band) kids involved and write parts for them so that I play less on the piano... what's great is when you have the whole rhythm section covered so that you can drift into prayer or reciting psalms... I haven't been able to do 'All of Me' in church yet but I'd like to...
My friend Luis told me about you. I'm just in Vancouver. Do you know my friend Greg Hoffstad? He was in Nanaimo but is now in Victoria. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
As a heads up, when i record i leave some open air time to click record and then get in position to play, I couldn't get set up in time ... I guess I could have added some space.
I usually count in before it starts and then delete it after. Just to say with the collaborating stuff it makes it easier. :)
Keep writing!
Bill
