Musical Gift(s):
Lead guitarist singer song writer
About Me:
In his teens Phil used to play for secular band "WEST COAST" (the original Garage band . . no gigs we just played in a garage)
Phil has recently got back in touch with "WEST COAST" Bass player Mo Hoskins to find out the great news that Mo became a Christian in the year 2000 and he now plays with his wife in the worship band in their local church (Bethal Baptist) near Cardiff
Phil had his first gig at the age of 20 @YMCA Kingswood Bristol in 1983 with secular band "WILD DAISY", then in his 20’s Phil started to play solo support gigs for Bristol based Christian bands DISICPLE, JONAS WHAIL, INNER BEING, MIKE WINSTANLEY and TRACY BAKER
In his late 20’s Phil met up with Nick Hodges and formed a band called Whitestone and played in local school Christian unions and local youth groups etc, "we started of with a DR Rhythm drum machine and the drum machine used to over take us !"
Later when the band finished Nick invited Phil over to his new recording studio (later to be called “THE ROCK BROTHERS STUDIO”) to record some of the material that they used to play in the band and produced a demo album called “ALWAYS” which got lots of local air play on local Christian radio shows, Phil and Nick also were interviewed on local radio to promote the album
Pil has done many solo gigs in and around the Bristol area, Gloucester, Swindon, Cardiff, Monmouth, the south west and also the south Devon area (Torquay, Paignton, Totnes and Tytherington) where he started doing support gigs for Torquay based Christian blues band "FORGIVEN NOT PERFECT" and then later on he joined the band as their lead guitarist
Phil has also done recording / session work for the "ROCK BROTHERS" (Nick Hodges / John East) GERRY WATTS and "ALIAS”

Who would I love to meet

My Abba Father in person in heaven one day when this live is over
I would love to meet up again with the Doctor that said my eldest son would never walk or amount to anything etc
Our son was born 3 months prem, he had three holes in his lungs, two brain haemorrhages and one heart attack and he died twice right in front of us and he is a real miracle and we thank God for him everyday
I would love to meet the Doctor again and let him know that through the grace of God he does walk and run and now aged 12 and a half he plays the Piano, Drums, cello and the Violin and does very well in school too, also he has just won an Eisteddfod in music (Piano) here in Bristol
He also reads music and is already composing
Also his younger brother has a great sense of rhythm too and is showing a real interest in the Drums as well and loves to break dance
Favorite Music:
musical Influences include Bryn Haworth / Eric Bibb / Larry Howard / Phil Keaggy / Steve Curtis Chapman / Jamie Cullum / Chris Rea / Robert Cray / Eric Clapton / Buddy Guy / Gordon Giltrap / Kevin Brown
Favorite Bible Verses / Passages:
I will restore to you the years that the locust has taken away

Philippians Ch4 V13
