"[B]eloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming?" Some Thoughts on the Emerging Church

Posted on December 9, 2008 at 5:30am 1 Comment

Being what many people might call a (gasp) fundamentalist, I am probably in a very minority position in today's post-modern church, and especially as concerns the topic of the Emerging Church. I am writing some of my thoughts here in response to a brother who asked me about my position on the EC, and the message reply box didn't have enough room to answer.

I believe that the Bible needs to be read with a strictly literal interpretation - God said what He meant and meant what… Continue

Day One: The Unbreakable Link Between Worship & Prayer

“And when He had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them Harps and golden Bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. And they sang a new song, saying:‘You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals for You were slain And have redeemed us to God by Your blood Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation, And have…

Day 3: How do We Access This “Kingdom?”

Jesus told His disciples in John 14: “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. ......... He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be… Continue

How are you Patrick, long time no speak, how are you guys doing,i am sure like many of us we long for our LORD and savior ,and we can see that each day we need to walk close with the LORD and be still to hear HIS voice as their are many voices right now and we need to hear only the voice of our LORD, more and more i hear people say that want nothing more than ALL OF OUR KING that they are tired of the mundane and i believe that yes the hunger and thirsting for righteousness has become the heart of HIS sons and daughters. Thanks Patrick. We like sharing the songs and it is a blessing when we hear from people who have used them in their church.
