About Almighty Perazim
Almighty Perazim consists of dedicated musicians who want their music to be of a high standard and are now busy recording new material to be released on CD in the near future.

We are a Gospel Rock band from South Africa called ALMIGHTY (PERAZIM). This is more of a Gospel Rock Project, as the band consists only of three dedicated musicians.
We all come from a professional music background and are blessed to serve the LORD with the awesome musical ability that He has given us.

Born in Italy, Sergio’s parents immigrated to South Africa when Sergio was still young and at the age of 19 he started his musical career by singing with bands like Smokey Blues, then turning to rock music with Steel Pigeon, Tyrant, Lynx, Count Ash who were all playing secular rock music.
When Sergio became reborn in the early ‘90s, he focused his attention on forming an original Gospel Rock band called Perazim (which stands for God’s breakthrough), which disbanded at various occasions until he met up with Raymond in 2000 to revive Perazim once more to the Gospel Rock band called ALMIGHTY.
Over the following years, he would form a very tightly knit musical relationship with Raymond, and this would form the real backbone of the band. Sergio's contribution through his awesome spiritual input as well as his incredible gift of singing, song writing gospel lyrics and the talent to arrange songs.

Born in Bremen, Germany, he started developing interest in music at very early age. However it took a couple of years until the brewing musical talent would unfold and at the age of 14 starting playing the guitar with particular influences from Wishbone Ash, Deep Purple and Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow, John Williams, Rory Gallagher and Johnny Winter, Scorpions etc. It wasn’t until 1990 that the relocated Raymond broke onto the South African music scene by joining cover club bands like Zero Gravity and in 1994, Quest, this continued until 1998 when he chose to change the course of his career.
With Sergio’s spiritual influence, Raymond became a reborn Christian in 2000, which proved to be the inspiration for the rebirth of the band Perazim.
Raymond composes most of the material as well as rewrites Praise and Worship songs by sequences the basic drum, bass and keyboards tracks. After having become a believer, Raymond’s musical horizons were broadened from that of being a guitarist to that of becoming a competent all round musician and that has changed his thinking in the creative contents of a band.
Both Sergio and Raymond decided to dedicate their GOD given talents to songwriting and recording only, as the feeling is that the lack of interest for Gospel Rock music in South African was mutual and felt that it would not be benificial to launch such an album in SA.
Enough musical material has been written in the seven year struggle to keep this project alive, that the title of the first still to be released CD, will be titled “Trials and Tribulations”.

As a “Gentle Giant” of the clan, South African, Capetonian, Kevin joined Sergio and Raymond in 2002 as a drummer and Sound Engineer.
His incredible talent at Sound Engineer in both areas of creativity and Audio Recording and with his patience and humbleness helped Sergio and Raymond immensely in creating the results which would be in excellence of the LORD.
Once Raymond has sequenced the rhythmic idea, Kevin would then play a live drum track and engineer the whole song with diligence and patience that would eventually give the song the quality it deserved. His general creative input at all levels would enrich, as well as enhance the end product, from a commercial point of view.
Kevin has been involved in various projects too numerous to mention including assisting with the stage setting up and fold down for acts like Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi, Roxette and other concerts that were hosted in SA.
Kevin got married to an American, Debby, in 2006 and then moved to the USA in December of 2007, to live in Seattle. The project still continues via extensive emails for sound engineering purposes.

The project was started almost seven years ago and has really suffered its ups and downs - mostly because of lack of finances but also because of personal problems and the lack of strong ministerial backing.
Rock music in general, until just recently got very little if any support in South Africa. The reason for the decision to launch this product in Europe rather than in SA is obvious, because of the various different cultures here in SA, the rock market is virtually non existent, and Europe’s rock as well as Gospel markets are both very active (and the Gospel market still being very young as in contrast to the USA).
The intention is to use our (still to be created) website to raise the necessary funds in order to launch this product properly in Europe (UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland etc).
The repertoire consists of 15 songs, of which six songs are complete and ready for release. The style of music leans very much towards late 70’s, 80’s and 90’s rock genre with strong emphasis on melody and Gospel lyrics.
Excellence is required in completing the above, as the LORD is always excellent with us, which at the present moment cannot be achieved without extensive funds (equipment, marketing etc.) and spiritual guidance.
We are now appealing to various parties to help us to complete this project in excellence in order to Praise and Worship GOD. Seven complete songs are available and another eight are in the making.
