About Me:
Falling in love with Jesus more and more every day. Desperately needing continual communion with the Holy Spirit. Desiring to be an encourager to the body of Christ. Not wanting to disappoint my Savior. These are things that keep me living for Him and away from sin and its trappings. Jesus deserves ALL of this and so much more. On my own, I can’t do it. Relying on Him is the only way.

“And so it is, when I come to the end of myself, there You are”.
From “Speak to Me”, it's on itunes if wanted.

I was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley of California in a small farming community called Easton, situated just south of Fresno. My grandfather John Philip Leisle, was one of the first vineyard farmers in the valley. He grew thompson seedless grapes that he dried into raisins and sold to Sunmaid Raisin. Growing up in a family of five children where everyone played some kind of musical instrument, it wasn’t long before I found himself sitting behind the family upright piano. My favorite thing to do when I was young was lift the lid up on the piano and just play to my hearts content when no one else was at home . I’d do that for hours. My mother insisted I take piano lessons when I was nine, but I didn’t like the structure. I wanted to just play. I'm glad she insisted though, it gave me a good foundation to build on. After high school, I went to the local city college, majoring in Music. Having early success, I then allowed myself to be influenced by the wrong crowd, delving into drugs and alcohol. This proved to be my downfall and after a few years, I dropped out of school. It was at this time that I meet my wife Rose. She was a great influence on me. When I realized I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her, I started taking a hard look at my life. If we were going to get married and have kids, how could I give them answers to the tough questions if I didn’t know the answers myself? Rose and I both bowed together and placed the Lord Jesus first in our lives at that time. We married in the fall of 1976 and had two beautiful boys, Ryan and Joshua and a gorgeous baby girl, Melissa. Ryan lives in Montana with his lovely bride, Rachael. Melissa and her handsome husband, Nate, also now live in Montana as well. They have three beautiful children, Dustin, McKenzie and Trevor. Our second child, Joshua, was born with a rare genetic disease and went to be with the Lord after only twelve days. God used this tragedy in our lives to strengthen our faith and in fact, the first song the Lord gave me was a song for Joshua. While he was fighting for his life one day in the hospital, I started writing the first lines to the song down on a paper napkin. One of the lines to the song say’s it all. “We leaned on the Lord and we did not fall.”
From that time on, I have worshiped the Lord with the gifts He has given me. Ministering to the body of Christ by leading and participating in worship bands, writing and recording the songs He gives to me. And giving Worship/Concerts as the Lord directs. In ALL things, I give all the praise and glory to the One who holds my breath and the breath of my loved ones in His hand. The Lord Jesus, who is, The Christ.

Ask Him to Move!!

Posted on February 24, 2009 at 2:41am 0 Comments

One of the key things the Lord has revealed to me lately – Don't just ask His Holy Spirit to come, after all, He's already there. Ask Him to MOVE as well. And then, give Him "permission" and "room" to move. We've been experiencing a full and sweet outpouring of His Spirit Thursday nights at our Celebrate Recovery meetings. We always do these three things; 1. Thank Him for being here 2. Ask Him to move 3. Get out of His way and enjoy! It's amazing to watch the Holy Spirit move. It's my favorite… Continue

Rock and roll! My wife and I led worship for a women's retreat up at Wonder Valley. It was really nice. The event staff was very friendly and helpful. Not to mention it's minutes away from some nice trout fishing. :)

Actually the church on Ashlan and Fowler is Mountain View Community Church. It's also a very cool chruch. My wife and I have visited their on our Sunday's off. Sierra View Community Church (I know... completely different.) ;) We meet at Reagan Elementary School on Indianola and Church in Sanger. Where is the Cross Church at? It sounds familiar like I might have visited there once.

Hi Stan: I read your profile on Worship the Rock...very interesting testimony. I am from up north of you in Merced County. I too am a singer/songwriter with all original works. When I grew up I listened to alot of Chicago and Steely Dan too...I was also into Led Zeppelin, The Who and The Beatles. I am a music major at the local community college here. We are building a recording studio at the college and I am very excited! Have you gone thru copyright process on your song compositions? My mentor & guitar teacher (Tim Johnson) is from Fresno, CA He has a website: He has a 3-pc band called Sierra Cowboy Riders. They play old time western/ early jazz/ classical/swing stuff and are quite good. They usually play around your area, so you may want to check Tim out...He plays fiddle and guitar. Anyways, He states the importance of copyrighting your work to protect yourself. Not all folks are honest these days and will rip off your original work if you perhaps place it on or I would love to hear some of your compositions....Are they posted on your Worship the Rock site? May the Lord bless you today....Cindy (Guitar Lady)
