About Me:
I lead songs for God at The Edge Christian Fellowship in Minnesota. We like to say we are Church for people who don't like church ... but end up loving it. I love The Edge and what is happening here. And I'm so grateful for what God has done in my heart since we launched the church in 2003.
I started leading the band for our church's recovery program in 2005 and moved into the role of Edge worship director about 6 months later. It's been a blast - I absolutely love it!

I am the mother of a beautiful, high-energy, strong-willed six-year-old (y'all should try this someday), and wife to my pastor (great guy, great leader, great husband). I earned a creative writing degree back in the day, so it was natural that I started writing songs in 2008. I've got some home recordings now, thanks to a "snowball" mic I got for Christmas! Three cheers for Garageband!
I am also writing a novel for teens.
Favorite Music:
Hillsong United, Sara Groves, Tobymac, Desperation Band, Group 1 Crew
Favorite Bible Verses / Passages:
With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers this should not be. James 3:9-10

Greetings,
Love your songs.  Us Christian Songwriters from Minnesota should get together more often to write songs to the Lord.  I want to tell you about a great organization nearby.  It's the Minnesota Association of Christian Songwriters. Please check out all the MACS benefits on their website:  http://macsmn.org/memberships-benefits/  They also send out announcements via their Facebook page with important dates for meetings and concerts as well as opportunities for your music.  I look forward to meeting you at a future meeting and hear what songs the Lord has blessed you with.
Worshipping and spreading God's LOVE through our songs,

Ephesians 5:19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.

Hi Tricia, thanks for the note - we're getting pretty excited about the trip. And all the best in your upcoming trip to Sudan! That's going to be exciting. I am so happy to see that country finally moving ahead - let's pray that it stays peaceful.

Hi Tricia

How are you? For some reason I missed your message you sent to me way back in 2009(!) regarding my videos on Vimeo. Thank you so much for your encouraging words. It is much appreciated.

Hi Tricia,

So nice to hear from you again! I listened to your song "Out of the Ashes." The chorus is very catchy and makes you think. I love the idea of coming out of the ashes. The line "let darkness fail, let peace prevail" stuck in my mind. I like that. Your church is blessed to have you write for them. Thank you for listening to my song. I appreciated your comment very much! God bless friend~

Aw, that's SO cool Jennifer! Have you ever played there before?
Burnsville is a bit of a hike and you caught me on a really busy weekend unfortunately or I'd love to come meet you and hear you in person ... Incidentally, I'm playing at Maple Grove Northwestern in March, a benefit to rebuild a church in Sudan that was destroyed by the militia. We have a small church with a really big heart for Sudan.
Haha, my daughter just came in from her "nap" and says the dog is doing so good on her bed. Maybe I need to log off now!!
(what part of Mpls do you hail from?)

That would be great! I am playing tomorrow morning from 11 a.m. til 1 p.m. at the Burnsville Northwestern Book Store. I realize that is kind of far away for you if I remember correctly, but I thought I'd throw it out to you!!!

Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you - our internet has been iffy, at best. Michael (my hubby) actually spent the summer we were engaged in the Philippines. It's a beautiful place, with beautiful people. I pray your brother & his family will continue to grow in Lord as they prepare for service there. It's always a blessing to be encouraged in what we're doing, and I thank God for your note. May He continue to lead & guide you, as you seek to honor & glorify Him. God bless!!!
