Yahweh, the Detailer

Matthew 10:28-30 (The Message)

"Don't be bluffed into silence by the threats of bullies. There's nothing they can do to your soul, your core being. Save your fear for God, who holds your entire life—body and soul—in his hands.

What's the price of a pet canary? Some loose change, right? And God cares what happens to it even more than you do. He pays even greater attention to you,…

I need your help creating a survey...

Hey WTR family,  I could use some help...

In an attempt to stay engaged with our church congregation/culture I am developing an online survey that will give people in the congregation an opportunity to offer feedback on our church's Sunday morning worship service.  I could use your help coming up with good questions that would serve to provide us with the best information.

Here are a few basics to consider as you help me brainstorm:

-By "worship service" I mean…

Looking to form a secular-Christian trio cross-over cover band here in Orange County. Seeking mature, experienced Christian musicians as a drummer, and lead guitar, both with vocals. Would play a mixture of contemporary Christian rock and selected secular covers. Open for ideas.

Just Between You and God

I would that every believer sing praises to God daily, not just on Sunday at church.

Psalm 92:1-2 (NKJV) - It is good to give thanks to the LORD, and to sing praises to Your name, O Most High; To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning, and Your faithfulness every…

Spiritual Metabolism & Digestion

Something interesting happened to me. Some time back, I meet up with a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and he diagnosed me as having a very low metabolic rate. In TCM terminology, my body was too cold.

Now if you see from my Facebook pics how scrawny I am, and watch how I usually eat a lot (shoveling French fries down my throat like there's no tomorrow) and notice how difficult it is for me to sit still, you would understand why I was very skeptical of this… Continue

Grieving Growing And Rejoicing Through Music

Life is cyclical and the pattern is often random but grieving, growing and rejoicing can all be clearly expressed in musical form.

Music For Living

From the perspective of the artist music was always an extension of personality and experience. Attaching emotional significance to an historical event, regardless of where it fit in the cycle of life, was one way to help future generations… Continue

There's lots of reality TV these days.

But, do you want to know the true reality?

Believe in the Christ!

1 John 5:13

"My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God's Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion. And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely… Continue

Worship Is An Avowal and A Statement

Avowal I a public statement that something is true, a declaration, worship is a public statement. It is our declaration of our love for God. Worship is our public display of affection (P.O.D). It is our way to show the world and the generations living and yet to live that we worship God. Avowal is our public statement of faith.

“One generation shall praise your work to another and shall declare our mighty acts” Psalms 148:4

Worship is a place to proclaim and…
