Worship is one gift given to mankind that allows him to connect up with the divine presence of God, Worship allows us access to Him and his presence. Most people want to focus on what worship is and isn’t, today our focus is to look at the types of worship.

How Familiarity Kills Worship

How Familiarity Kills Worship

“What will take you to the top will sustain you at the top”, it’s a statement that I was taught when I was growing in the Lord. Funny enough I have been in place where I have gotten to the top and ditched this principle and the results where catastrophic in my life and the shame they brought its crazy.

As worshipper and Christians we are slowly loosing reverence and honour to the things which are so important in life.…

Flowing with the Holy Spirit in Worship

Worship leading is a huge and amazing responsibility in life and I pray that we do it with all our heart, mind and life. Our mandate as worship leaders is to carry people to the throne, bringing people to that place where they meet with God face to face.

Every person has a certain way that there live their life, that’s kinda the idea of what flow is all about. Every person has a way they lead no matter how many people in a worship team or choir we all can’t do what our neighbor…

The Ignorant Worshipper Part 1

Every king has glory and honour is honored in a big way, Prince Charles or the Queen of England are honored in a certain way and if that’s the case why don’t we honour do the same and when we worship God, we see him as a friend and we honor Him ignorantly but He is King and Lord, the Lord who is in charge of armies and hosts. We don’t even honour Him like the way we honour and respect the Queen of England.

And those servants went out into the highways, and…

The Trust Challenge, Something To Think About Part 2

Trusting the Lord is not an easy thing, if we say we trust in God then why doesn’t God do what He wants in my life. How many people in the world said they trust God but we forget it all when things get tough and hard on the journey to where God is taking us?

We have gotten so used to being in charge at life, family, work, ministry and letting all that go in a world that speaks of having it all, does Trusting the Lord stand a chance in your life?

 “I’m going to issue…

The Trust Challange, Something To Think About

Happy New Year Worshippers

2014 has started and it’s going to be an interesting year but you know as most people are on or have just finished a fast and people are seeking the face of the Lord in this season and it’s an important thing to do but my prayer is may we carry the very same heart as the 2014 curtains start closing. It’s easy to shout, sing and declare what the year will be and it’s not that easy to live everyday of it.

A couple of days ago…

Leading A Diverse Congregation Of People.

Leading A Diverse Congregation Of People.

The Diversity we are talking today is not of racial colour, ethnicity nor of culture we are talking of diversity of the reasons why we come to church.

Not everyone comes to church for the Lord, Not all of us are so super-duper spiritual we are all at different stages in life and our walk with the Saviour. Some come to chill out, nothing to do at home, some come to see friends, some are forced, some are…

Before Leading Worship Consider These 4 Things..

Being a worship leader I consider it as an amazing responsibility but more as a blessing because you are being entrusted to carry people into his presence and glory. As we carry out this mandate from God one thing becomes eminent is that there are a lot things to consider before, during and after a worship service.

One of those things to really consider is the team…

The Place of the Word of God in Worship

God uses his word within us to speak to us, God always builds on his word. The more the word of God you have in you, the more God speaks to you.  As you read and know the word, God builds you on the inside and speaks to you more and in the process this changes your personal walk with Him revolutionizing your worship. I have seen worship leaders who look like nothing on the exterior or those that don’t meet the profile and not vocally talented but when they sing heavens open for them.…

Being Led By The Holy Spirit In Worship

The Holy Spirit is the 3rd person of the Godhead, Trinity and the Holy Spirit is not a thing or item, He is a God. Times and again we forget that the Holy Spirit is himself God

Leading Worship is bringing people to the feet of God, leading people is about bringing them to place where they can encounter the King of Kings. Worship goes beyond us just singing songs or singing songs which are popular and which gets people dancing.

The Holy…

The Decline Of A Worshipper

Worship calls not for an outward show or lip service but an inbuilt desire and passion which you express to Him in so many ways. Worship allows us to know God and connect with his presence in a deeper way. In the process of us worshipping God that he in turns adorns our lives with his glory and align us to his will and blessing.

Such is not a 1hour programme, sporadic or regular routine but it is a lifestyle of worship that one daily lives and walks in. Worship…

So You Call Yourself A Worshipper

So You Call Yourself A Worshipper

Studying the books of Isaiah, Ezekiel, Revelations, Daniel and Job one thing that stood out was the detailed explanations of how these man of God had numerous encounters with God and in detail they explained how their whole experiences set a platform to know God from that place forward ad that revelation became the basis of their worship.

God is a good God and the way that He appears to me and you is totally different…

Characteristics Of A Worshipper

Characteristics Of A Worshipper

Being a child of God and being called a Christian qualifies a person to be a worshipper, whether you have a sweet voice or a horsey voice, whether you can dance or you have CRD (Caucasian Rhythm Disorder) in God’s books you qualify as a worshipper.

The name of a person reveals their character and the quality of worship reveals the character of a worshipper. Just like the names of God reveal his character and a…

The Life Of a Worship Leader

My story before we go further, I am part of an amazing plus 70 member choir for close to 5 years now and I also play percussion in the band. In my second year in the choir I was just a choir member not even a vocalist or would be able to get close to being a background vocalist or let alone lead the choir during devotions. I went to small little church and long story short they heard that I was from the big choir and they said now you teach us to worship and before I knew it they…

The Need For Worship Encounters

This week I watched an old king movie with 5 tribe and clan leaders fighting for the throne of the king in that kingdom, some were legitimate others were not but what got me thinking is that a lot of the troubles, challenges and problems depicted in the movie are pretty much still being faced in today society.

Walk in the streets of your city, area, neighbourhood and look at the faces of the people.…

Admiration! Totally Lost in Worship

Worship is giving, offering, presenting glory, honour, majesty, power and worth to Him who seats on the throne and this is done in various ways. One would use music, one could serve God, one would minister to God, surrender his or her life towards God, one would kneel, one would dance and one would live his life consecrated for God. There are many ways to express our worship. Worship starts from the heart and we use whatever we have to express it to God.

Today when I read…

Chasing After The Lord In Worship

In Judges 13 we meet the story of Samson’s birth when an angel came to announce the call of Samson upon Manoah’s wife. The Angel told her she was to conceive and bear a child and no razor would touch his head. She in turn told the Manoah about the visitation.

Manoah was absent when the angelic visitation happened to his wife but regardless He chose to entreat (beseech, request for earnestly) God in his own place that the angel visits them again so that they can learn how to…

What Makes Worship Deep?

Everyone desires to go deeper with the Lord, we experiment with a lot of things, ways, means and all we try to do is take our worship deeper. We try looping songs, we try singing like Hillsong, studying music notes playing like Paul Baloche and we spend all our time practicing and sharpening skill. All in the desire to do is to take my worship deeper.

“Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of thy waterspouts: all thy waves and thy billows are gone over me”, Psalms 42:7 KJV. One…

Why Obedience Is Worship

Good Day Worshippers

Obedience according to the Sage Dictionary is the act of obeying, dutiful or submissive with respect to someone else. It is a characteristic that we have to learn on our own, someone said God is always talking what He is looking for is just a willing life to listen and…
