How Do You Worship With Reverence!

Reverence comes from a primitive root which means to fear; causatively to frighten: affright, be (make) afraid, dreadful fear, tremble. The dictionary will tell us that fear is deep respect, if that’s the case then what does reverence mean. I believe that fear doesn’t bring us escape from God but bring us closer.

If you would read the Amplified Bible you will realize that they replaced the word fear with reverence. There is power when we come before God with our hearts and…

Is Your Worship Worth It?

Is your worship worth it, if it doesn’t mean anything to you then it will not mean anything to God? Is it worth it…

Worship in the Old Testament was confined to the tabernacle and also to the temple of Solomon. When you look at the bible from Adam until Moses you will see that they were worshippers even without the tabernacle. The principle of first mention of the word worship in the bile is based in Genesis 5:22 where Abraham spoke of sacrifice and obedience as worship.

‘”And…

So Who Then Directs Worship ?

Who directs the worship that happens in a church, congregation, meeting or nay gathering that people have to seek the face of the Lord is it the pastor, the deacons, the board or the worship leader. This is the biggest question that has and is still causing church infighting, splits and has caused churches in the past to split and it is such a delicate matter that we need divine guidance to work on it.

The devil is set to destroy the institution of the church and if he can distort…

What Brings God’s Attention in Worship

The Power of Worshipping At His Feet

A lot of scripture references in the bible speak about feet, especially during the ministry of Jesus a lot of people threw themselves at his feet and worshipped him. My question came around onto why did they focus at his feet or why did they have to throw themselves at his feet.

“In Israel a lot of the people wear sandals more so in bible and the fact that much of the land there is arid to desert conditions and with little or no protective cover their feet would…

Why Brokenness Part 2

“When it comes to being broken before the Lord, which is best: asking the Lord to break us or breaking ourselves before the Lord. Do we either ask God to break us or we choose to break us?

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite (smitten, broken in pieces) heart, O God, thou wilt not despise”, Psalms 51:17.  Brokenness is a state of being living a smitten or shattered life and when you…

Why Brokenness Part 1

Brokenness is a pivotal part of a worshipper lifestyle and that is one thing that separates worshippers apart. To break simply means to destroy, shatter into pieces. Brokenness also speaks about humility and a repentant heart and lifestyle

“Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken; but on whomsoever it shall…

Worship From An Alabaster Flask Part 2

Worship From An Alabaster Flask Part 2

We continue our journey of Worship from an Alabaster Flask with a Part 2 in which we take the account of St John Chapter 12:1-9. Like we said in the previous article Jesus was anointed with oil twice in his life, at the start of his ministry just after he chosen the 12 disciples. The second time he was anointed was at the end of his ministry in the house of Martha (it was Martha’s house) whose brother was raised from the dead…

Worship From An Alabaster Flask Part 1

Worship From An Alabaster Flask Part 1

Alabaster Flask Worship is worship from deep within the recess of the Spirit, it’s not for show off but the glorification of God. It is an overflow from within a heart that is pouring itself before God.

There two accounts of women breaking alabaster flask of costly ointment onto Jesus. The first one is the account of Luke which happened at the start of Jesus’ ministry and the other account was 2 days…

Worship Isn’t A Carnal Weapon

Worship Isn’t A Carnal Weapon

Worship is vehicle that allows us access into God’s throne room and access to his presence. Worship allows us to express our gratitude and heartfelt desires to God, it is a blessing to mankind because it has opened a platform for us to commune with God.

Worship glorifies and blesses God and it’s in the process that you find that the satanic kingdom is destroyed. Over time we have learnt that worship is a very powerful weapon for…

Worship That Opens Up The Heavens

Worship That Opens Up The Heavens

Today we talk about worship that opens up the heavens starting from the book of Judge Chapter 6, it is how God called Gideon made life his life peculiar. I always say that Worship is a response and that Worship is obedience, how many of us respond to God or his promptings. I pray that after reading through this article God will open your eyes and give you a life that responds and obey in Jesus Name.

Background to the story is…

The Power of The Holy Spirit Part 2

When I discovered my calling in worship I was so hungry and thirsty to know what worship is all about by as I spoke with other worshippers I got frustrated by the answers that they gave to me, because the answers that they have me were merely words and people’s experiences, few where teaching me about the importance of the Holy Spirit in worship

It wasn’t to last a few years later that I learnt the work of the Holy Spirit. It’s good to know people’s experiences in worship but…

The Role of The Holy Spirit In Worship

The Holy Spirit is part of the Triune being and as the bible says that he was sent to earth so that he may teach us all things and helps us the Greek word for that is “paraclete” which means parallel to, it works parallel with the spirit of a man. Jesus in the book of John

Whats Coating Your Worship! Heart or Vanity

Worship in a basic meaning means to glorify God, give glory to God, to ascribing worth to God. With time we have assumed a revelation of worship passed from people’s experience and opinion and we have made it our own. This I say because the first time I joined a worship team people told me of their experiences in worship and not what the bible say about worship.

Worship isn’t kneeling, singing, dancing, painting, wailing, lying prostrate, falling facewards, crying and all…

Miraculous Worship

They say that heartfelt worship you will find is in jail or in a hospital because the focus of such people is totally God alone. These are the places where people are hungry and are really looking for God. Sometimes we don’t have that sense of abandonment that they have when they worship because of their earnestness miracles do follow them because of their abandonment that is what opens the miraculous over their heads.

In Acts 16 we meet Paul and Silas and I have written…
