I'm 21yrs old and just got an internship with my church. The internship involves helping out around the church, leading worship for a ministry targeted for 18-25ish yr olds and also they plan to have me lead worship for youth (4th-5th grade)

As far as leading worship for 18+ adults it seems to come natural and I love doing it. I usually do the avg Chris Tomlin songs and what not and we write our own praise music too, we will add our own touch to covers of course.

When it comes to kids i'm great with them, I love them! But I really don't know how to lead worship for them. I don't know if I need to be goofy and "Cheesy" to get them to worship. In my mind and after seeing and meeting these kids they are just getting to the age where they are forming their own opinions. I want them to really understand what worship is.

I just don't know what music I need to play? Chris Tomlin, Hillsong and music like i've played for adults? Or do I need to play kids music? I have no clue, do I incorporate motions and dance? I cant dance to save my life! hahaha

If there is a kids worship leader for this same age group please give me advice. I'm praying hard about this and I just want the best for these kids and for gods will to be done.

I'm new to this site btw so reply to this thread or email me at Sethros1@hotmail.com I check my email daily so if you feel you have strong advice for me please feel free to email. Thank you so much! God bless!!!!!!!
