I just finished Donald Miller's book Through the Painted Desert and I want to highly recommend it. I also want to give Donald credit for my shout message "Stop long enough to engage the obvious" I think the Obvious is a metaphor for God.
This book really makes you look at the way you are living life and question if it is the way God wants us to be living. After reflection, my answer is I think not.
I have enjoyed all of MIller's books and wasn't disappointed with this one. It is very different from his others, Blue Like Jazz and Searching for God Knows What.
