Compromise isn't part of Christianity and never will be. If you are a Christian you have to stand up for what you believe in, the man you believe in, Jesus. Or it just won't work. You can't compromise with Satan, the devil. That is courting disaster! Jesus didn't compromise when He went up the mountain on His 40 Day Fast. And when the Tempter came to Him, he said, "if thou be the Son Of God, command that these stones be made bread." But He answered and said, "It is written, man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that procedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:3,4
He was tempted twice more by the Devil, but He didn't compromise even once. Altho I imagin He was weak from hunger He was strong in His heart and mind. Satan couldn't conquer the spirit of our Lord! When He said "Get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and Him only shalt thou serve". The Devil left Him.
Neither did He compromise when, while He was on the cross, they reviled Him, saying, "Thou that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days, (They didn't understand He was talking about His body when He said that.) save thyself, if thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross." Matthew 27:40
We can't meet the Devil half-way. That is as bad as saying you're willing to accept half the evil, half the sin that defiles your soul with the filth and degradation of Hell. If we comprmise anything at all to Satan, we might as well be saying that we would take him as our God. That of course would lead straight into Hell! Any Christian who compromising with Satan is compromising the fudimentals of christian beliefs and accepting into their life and heart, part of the sin that the Lord saved them from in the first place!
