Love your songs. Us Christian Songwriters from Minnesota should get together more often to write songs to the Lord. I want to tell you about a great organization nearby. It's the Minnesota Association of Christian Songwriters. Please check out all the MACS benefits on their website: http://macsmn.org/memberships-benefits/ They also send out announcements via their Facebook page with important dates for meetings and concerts as well as opportunities for your music. I look forward to meeting you at a future meeting and hear what songs the Lord has blessed you with.
Worshipping and spreading God's LOVE through our songs,
Hi Tricia, thanks for the note - we're getting pretty excited about the trip. And all the best in your upcoming trip to Sudan! That's going to be exciting. I am so happy to see that country finally moving ahead - let's pray that it stays peaceful.
So nice to hear from you again! I listened to your song "Out of the Ashes." The chorus is very catchy and makes you think. I love the idea of coming out of the ashes. The line "let darkness fail, let peace prevail" stuck in my mind. I like that. Your church is blessed to have you write for them. Thank you for listening to my song. I appreciated your comment very much! God bless friend~
Aw, that's SO cool Jennifer! Have you ever played there before?
Burnsville is a bit of a hike and you caught me on a really busy weekend unfortunately or I'd love to come meet you and hear you in person ... Incidentally, I'm playing at Maple Grove Northwestern in March, a benefit to rebuild a church in Sudan that was destroyed by the militia. We have a small church with a really big heart for Sudan.
Haha, my daughter just came in from her "nap" and says the dog is doing so good on her bed. Maybe I need to log off now!!
(what part of Mpls do you hail from?)
That would be great! I am playing tomorrow morning from 11 a.m. til 1 p.m. at the Burnsville Northwestern Book Store. I realize that is kind of far away for you if I remember correctly, but I thought I'd throw it out to you!!!
Sorry it's taken me a while to get back to you - our internet has been iffy, at best. Michael (my hubby) actually spent the summer we were engaged in the Philippines. It's a beautiful place, with beautiful people. I pray your brother & his family will continue to grow in Lord as they prepare for service there. It's always a blessing to be encouraged in what we're doing, and I thank God for your note. May He continue to lead & guide you, as you seek to honor & glorify Him. God bless!!!
Hey Tricia, Thanx for your comments quite a while ago now about our song 'Jesus is King'. I took out the pad at the beginning, you were right its better just the guitars but I think the drums are just a style thing. The song is a happy song and the church went wild when we taught it recently in Uganda! Plz stay in touch it sounds like you and your husband are doing an amazing job. We are church planters and evangelists. We'll be in USA from 17th Sept - 9th Dec teaching, leading contemporary worship and training in 'Friendship Evangelism'. Thanx again Be blessed Steve & Jan x
hey tricia,.... would be great to get your feedback on te new worshipsongs i uploaded on my site and in songwriters circle. i would love to hear your thoughts. be blessed in everything you do. greets from germany.
Sorry about not replying, Tricia. My son had twins, so out to WA for 10 days. Our trio had three engagements. Church choir with Easter cantata. Praise team is going through the summer...a first for us. Campfire services Sunday night twice a month and I'm the song leader. Gads! Yes this is beautiful country but I only go through Duran when we visit our daughter in Cannon Falls...don't know too much about it. Hope all is well. I saw that Michael Talbot is a member of WTR.
Let me know how I can help with your song. I switched to leaving you a comment on your page so I wouldn't clutter up the songwriting group (and attract too many requests for keyboard work in the group!)...
I'd love to talk songwriting with you sometime. I am a lyricist who is always looking for partners to write with. I love to work with different people so that I'm tied down to a certain style or genre. I have about a dozen songs I've co-authored over the last year. I've written with Michael Blue and Deonna Wadsworth who are both members of WTR.
Thanks for you comments on my song Tricia. When I started this little
music adventure people me a friends refered to me as a 3m product.
I took my lessons at Menchey Music and my instructors were
Megan Hall Bunty and Marlyn Warner. So I consider it an Honor
to be aproved by the B Team. The song seemed hit some nerves here
at home people really like it they say my music is starting to turn
the corner in a good way I'm starting to come with songs that really
say something worth hearing. You might say I passed Bill Gaither's
so what test with this one . Pray that the music will be able to support
the message. Thanks and have a Great week and weekend.
Hi Tricia This is Brian Huber
I revisted on of the first songs I put on the worshiptherock web site.
Called life rolls on like an open range (revisited). I was wondering if I
could get an opinion from you on it. I hope you and your family had a
good holiday today. I got to spend with most of my family today we had
indoor cook out that we ate inside. The weather up her was not looking
in favor of a true cook out so we made believe we were out side. Worked for us. have a great week this I hope you Sunday services went well.
Wow, it sounds like there is a lot of pruning going on. I think your new outlook is very good. Spiritual maturity is more important than anything. For awhile we only had one drummer and we prayed and prayed for at least one more. We now have five. So God WILL bless you guys!
