Hi Laura...I am actually doing the music for the revival at Adina Christian Church in Lexington. I am the son of the Tom Long you met on Saturday. (I apologize for the slow response. My Internet access has been sporadic here.)
Thanks so much for letting us use your keyboard. It's working out GREAT!
I'm new to this site and my computer won't let me send a reply to your note so:
I don't get to Lake Michigan very often, I live a couple of hours away from Chicago.and about 1 1/2 from Milwaukee. Now my younger, taller brother works downtown CHI with a view of the Lake every work day!! I have the Rock River weaving it's way through my downtown area. I actually play sand volleyball on courts where the beach was brought by dump truck... That my main beach time :)
No, I don't write songs, except for a rewrite (one of my older sisters let me know the tune I had made was from a church I had gone to years earlier) of a song when I was like seven years old, I titled my song "Jesus I love you, Jesus I do".
Hope you had a blessed Sunday and will have a good week..
Merry Bee :)
Hi Laura - sorry for the delay but I am back from holiday in Northern Ireland. I was born in Belfast, N Ireland and have lived in Scotland since my marriage in 1983. I have the Irish spelling of Sheelagh, and thanks for liking it!!! God bless x
Howdy, Laura. Yup, there is a five hour time thing going on. Don't know why...??
Yeah, we're planning on going to August's Night of Worship. As for the Conferences, our first one ever was last year's. It was awesome!! Such a blessing. I'd never been to something like that. There are no words....I love that they did I Give You Glory in English and Spanish. And even with the difference in language, everyone kept right on praising.
We tend to do our services in both English and Spanish, as well. If you have any questions, let me know. Also, there's a Bilingual Worship group on here, so maybe that'll help, too.
VA is pretty good. I am truly grateful for this site and the people who are on it. I love you guys! Unfortunately I will not have internet access at home but there is always the library so I will be back on sometimes. take care
Hey Laura - Thanks for the welcome. I would have loved to have seen your hummingbird. We don't get them in Alaska but we do have many other cool critters and I never get tired of seeing them - even the moose that eat and step on my garden. "All creatures of our God and King", right?
