About Me:
It took a long time to come to the realization that I was not put on this planet merely to fool around. I had to first become disillusioned with worldly pursuits and formal misleading philosophies. I had to let go of nearly all that was dear to me, namely husband,house, and family...and I might add considerable time wasted writing secular songs. This happened after being forced to flee an abusive marriage. I basically packed up my things, got in my car and headed north not knowing where I would stop until spotting a beach town in which a huge rock hugged the coast. I rented a room and took long walks by the water spilling my tears in the sand. One day in the midst of my sobbing I called out to God asking him to tell me if he is real why he brought me to this place? Almost immediately I heard deep within my spirit the words "to romance You to myself" Ceased by a surge of inspiration I then rushed back to my place and wrote a song called "Romance me to Yourself" That was followed by an outpouring of songs that has not yet stopped...which is why I tend to think that music is the thing God put in me to do. However, I have fallen short of being true to my calling as I've let survival needs and cares distract me. I've also been hindered by the fact that I am not a well honed musician nor can I sing very well. I am at this site in hope to connect with others with gifts that I lack. I seek collaborators, vocalists, musicians, arrangers, and true musically minded friends. I am first and foremost a poet/lyricist so perhaps there is someone out there who is in need of words
Favorite Music:
Messianic and anything with a memorable melody and message, also with catchy rhythm riffs, and guitar or violin accents. I am open to most genres except for rap and heavy metal.
Favorite Bible Verses / Passages:
all of psalms 16, 23, and 30. As far as a specific scripture goes, the one I've most cleaved to, has to do with Him preserving you from trouble and surrounding you with songs of deliverance. Once I find how it reads and where it is precisely I'll edit this.
