Sanctus

I've uploaded a song for the first time. This one was a sort of exercise "to see if I could." The starting point was the Latin lyric and it's English translation:

Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth
Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God of hosts

The objective was to write something in a Gregorian chant style but make it rock.

Haha! I'm sure Livgren remembers to this day. Just like Mylon remembers our 5 minute discussion at Atlantafest in 1988. :) Yeah. I saw you mention Iona and I knew we had to be friends. I bought their Open Sky CD because it looked good and I fell in love. I've introduced them to all my family and friends. In that same genre, I'm also fond of Eden's Bridge.
Bless you,
Tim

SANCTUS gives me visual images like the pink panther exploring the Great Pyramid of Giza doing a hip-hop routine in a video produced by Devo for VH1. Very eclectic my friend, all kidding aside !!!! I can really see it as a soundtrack for a dance/drama team to use in a production from the modern Roman Catholic Church doing a mass targeting teens and generation Xers. You are onto something big here !!!!!!

Nice job on the Sanctus! I can definitely hear the Neal Morse influence. Awesome.

I have the yamaha VL70-m ( stock), a vl-70-m ( with patchman's turbo chip) and roland jv-880 all midi's together. i run them through and 8-channel mixer with mute buttons, so i can switch between them or play 2 or 3 of them together. I also hook my guitars and mandolin through the same mixer, so i can mute and unmute their channels depending on what im playing. In my closet, I have my old wx11 and wt11. Occasionally i hook that setup up with a battery pack and and battery powered amp for street outreaches.

Thanks. I'm hoping I can improve the intonation a bit and make a second pair of pickups from scratch and get similar results. We'll see.
